A friend of mine gave me this system. It came with a remote and the Acoustimass 25 subwoofer. Also with it came ac plugs and cables.No cube speakers. The 8 pin cable has 3 plugs at the opposite end of it. a stereo mini jack plug, and one rca plug. the other rca plug was cut off for some reason. anyhow, does anyone know if the subwoofer is audible without the cube speakers? or do I have to have the cube speakers to even test the system? I went ahead and plugged some speakers directly out of the music centers left and right rca output and i got sound out of some small speakers but just not very loud. I also tried hooking it up the way the manual says to, but i only get a very low sound from the left output channel from the subwoofer. Should I try a new 8 pin cable? Let me know. Oh, I also checked the fuse and it seems to be good. Is there another fuse to check? Thanks to anyone who can help.
