What 6.5" speakers for the front and 6X9 speakers for the rear would be a good match for the power produced by the built-in amp of my Kenwood X590 I just purchased?

Most aftermarket head units are about the same as far as RMS wattage output (your deck puts out 22W RMS which is pretty standard), so that's not really a major factor in picking speakers since the majority of aftermarket speakers will run (at least marginally) on 10W or so. Now, granted, any speaker is going to sound better with an external amp that can feed it closer to 50 or 100W RMS, but off just deck power I've found that Polk and Infinity have decent sound reproduction with lower wattage (even though, again, they'll sound better with an external amp).

More important things to considder would be build quality, sound reporduction and reliability, but the most important thing is how much you're willing to spend. So, give us a budget and I'm sure plenty of people will chime in.

Well I just got married and bought a house so the budget is super tight. I received some Kenwood 1666 6.5" speakers for free with my deck so I will see if those satisfy my ears before moving on but for the rear speakers I need 6X9s and would like to keep from spending over $100 on spearkers...Right now I've found some JBL 6X9s 2-ways for about $79 shipped that I'm interested in because I liked a set (different model) I had in the past real well.

Thanks for the reply
