Any suggestions for a true 1500-1800w rms amp? Money is irrelevant. I am going to start out buying one, and then later on buy a second one. I need it to push 1500-1800w rms @ < 14.4v. I have two of the Orion H2 subs in my car. They are DVC 4ohm. I can wire them in series or individually, so if the amp isn't 1 ohm stable that is not a problem. Thanx.

correct me if im wrong but shouldnt u look 4 an amp that does closer 2 2000wrms since every1 say those subs r very power hungry in which case u need an amp that does 2000wrms @ 2ohm if buying 1 amp/sub,

IMO i would $ave & buy 1 amp upfront like a autoek 4000 or memphis 4000 , hope u have the electrical upgrades 2 run it good though......

I am in the process now of getting my alternator rebuilt to about 260a......I actually wanted two amps to mount into the floor of my trunk....I don't want to push the subs to the max though.....That is why I said 1500-1800w rms.

Orion 2500D would be perfect for those...

(I'm pretty sure they built that amp for their subs...)

Yeah jake, I thought about that Orion 2500D, but at best it only pushes 1200w rms to each sub.....I need about 300-600w more per sub.

Unfortunitely that amp is only 2500w rms too......I need just a lil bit more power. I have been looking at that MCD4KW....I am just afraid I will blow my subs from daily use.

I have noticed that the Memphis amps are a lot more than the Autotek. I have never heard anyone with autotek in their car, but I know a lot of you guy's on here praise them. And of course who hasn't heard Memphis....Those lil amps pack a punch. I am still undecided about the Autotek MM4000.1 or the Memphis MCD4KW. I would also want to change my interior setup to either of the brands.....4 channel for the mids and highs. The 75X4 in the autotek is only $99 for the same power from Memphis it is $300....Which is better?

Maybe Crossfire VR2000D or VR4000D. These amps are rated at 12.4 volts and are 1 ohm stable.

the older auttek were better, and there is a reason that the amp is 99, quality......

the memphis is better but autotek bangs, i love their older amps, but nowadays they still have decent quality, but not the same.

The mm4000.1 can be wired at 1 ohm to put 5k rms, that should power those subs properly

The Crossfire VR4000D could be close to if not more than 5000 watts at 1 ohm at 14.4 volts. It is 4000 at 2 ohms at 12.4 volts.

Sundown Audio's SAZ-1500D is the new one that everyone is raving about. It'll do 1500x1@1 ohm RMS but true power is closer to 1700-1800. Its stable at 0.5 ohm as well and it'll push a little more than 2000 at that level, and this was measured at 12.6 volts too. Considering it'll push that much wattage, stay cold, and it goes for $600-$650, I'm pretty sure there might be 1 or 2 amps comparable to that, VERY hard deal to beat. Not to mention it's 1 ohm stable but recently (they trust it that much) they just warrantied it for 0.5 ohm stable as well.

I've never heard of that amp, myself. Hmm. And $600 isnt exactly a good deal for 1500 watts, honestly.

If price isnt an issue, though... your options are damn near endless.

that zapco amp is amazing, nice choice.

i wouldnt put that much power to H2s for everyday use...get a 2500d and be happy.
if you really want an amp that does close to 3500rms a rockford T30001BD will put out that easily.

Well, I am too undecided on what to push those subs. They have sooooooo much power that I am almost leaning towards going to the dark side (have an sq system and not bang hard) and just sell my subs to get something less powerful. You get these powerful freakin subs, and all you want to do is blast them. For now, after my alternator is done, I have chosen to get the NAKAMICHI 1004, to push my mids and highs. I have been looking at some SUPER HORN TWEETERS at a local store by me and those things SCREAM!!!!! I will probably put two of those in to replace my 6'9's. All treb coming through the interior speakers ought to sound nice when the bass hits.
