Somebody on here asked a while back which one was the better amp between these two and i have my orion installed and just put the KX in my friends Escape. He is running one solo x 12 and im running four DD 1012a's. Both amps seem to be pretty efficient as neither of us has upgraded
whoops i didnt mean to post it already...Considering the prices we paid for them, 471 for mine and 700 for his kx i would go for the orion. I think the kicker has a better subsonic filter on it and it puts out it's 2500 RMS at two ohms versus mine at 1 ohm. His amp didnt seem to get quite as loud as mine but i think thats just becasue of the difference in the cone area and the box size i had to work with. I think the kicker amp looks better installed with the end caps on. Overall i couldnt really hear a difference between the two as far as clarity so with the price difference i would pick the orion.
