Ok, I am going to be ordering a alpine type R soon, and I don't know what amp to get. I know they make two diff. type R's, the dual 2 ohm and 4 ohm. So what do you guys think??? (It's just one sub) What amp powers the type R best for the money? Thanks!!!

It depends. Do you want to upgrade in the future?

no need to upgrade, I feel that that will be enough power for me.

Well then Rovin has the right idea. I'd personally go with the 2ohm sub...

Those are overrated a little bit, but they are decent amps

This would work pretty good

Also, if you're willing, buy off of eBay. You'll get the best deals there

Just go by the feedback. I usually only buy if a person has 98% or more, and has a decent amount, say over 100

I read about people giving their R's over 800wrms all day long without a problem (also a good amount running over 1kwrms). Check out the caraudio.com forum-type r thread.
