The User Manual for the Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra
How to add a new satellite.
Select " NEW ".
It is located at the bottom of satellite name list. "They lied" the word" NEW " is not there.
I have E- Mail them about a month ago. Still no answer. Now can anyone here tell me what I need to do besides buy a new receiver.

THANKS

Kavin.....

You must go into the Add TP/Sat option on the installation menu, maybe you are going into the configuration menu, but to add a sat you must go into the "Add TP/Sat" option.....

Hey Nikk
There are no Edit TP/ Sat option on my receiver.
There is only EDIT TP/ SAT.
For adding new TPs only.

Hey LK
Iam not using Pansat 284T Bin.
Iam still using the 280T.
Will the bin 284T tell me how to add a new Satellite?

Kavin...

You said your receiver has an option that says "EDIT TP/SAT" right there must be the list of Sats, if you go to the end of it there must be a option named "NEW", is right there where you add a new sat, it will ask you for each TP downfrecuency first and after that you name the sat and that's it....it will not ask you to name the sat first, it will ask you for the TP's first...

At the end of the list of SATS there is no word that says NEW. Whats next.

I notice that the option for "NEW" is missing from the menu.Don't know if its from the latest bin??? But it use to be there.

You can use any sat for any sat.Set up any one your not using for that sat you want then blind scan.

First MENU-ANTENNA SETUP-Select the sat you are going to use and it will put a check mark next to it.EXIT-OK to save.Use a sat that has basicly the same settings(LNB TYPE LOCAL FREQ.) as the one your after.Set the diseqc #.EXIT-OK-EXIT-BLIND SCAN. Scan that sat.(Problem is you may have a TP conflict.)

One better is a method ive used to create a sat.
First MENU-ANTENNA SETUP-Select the sat you are going to use and it will put a check mark next to it.EXIT-OK to save.Set the diseqc #-EXIT-OK to save.EXIT.
Select EDIT/SAT/TP.
Select the sat that you just setup.

Select RENAME.
Rename it if you want. Not necessary.

Select EDIT TP.
Select each TP and deleat.
Once youve deleated all the TPs the screan will jump back.

EXIT to BLIND SCAN.
BLIND SCAN that sat.

Works perfect. If your dish is pointed at the right sat.
