New member Username: XtseePost Number: 1 Registered: Nov-06 | Ok so my lanzar 1600, everytime I turn it on it is fine until I turn up bass booster or volume. Right when i turn it on it is fine I have already replaced the Fuse in the power cord and the fuse in the amp. The Power light is lit up at first but when i turn up the volume or the bass booster it switches to the Protector LED, what does this mean? How do i fix it? I turned all the settings to low also. and this still happens. I am New to this so i have no clue what i am doing plz help. -Josh |

New member Username: XtseePost Number: 2 Registered: Nov-06 | hmm.I'm not sure my friend help me hooks it up i know it is a 2 channel 1600 watt amp and my sub is a 12 infiniy kappa max 1400 watts and max 350rms |
Gold Member Username: LbecknerTulsa, Ok Usa Post Number: 1228 Registered: Oct-04 | I think that sub has dual voice coils. Try wiring each voice coil to a seperate channel on the amp. You probably have the amp bridged and the coils on the speaker in parallel. The other alternative would be to leave your amp bridged and put the voice coils in series. Look at this: http://www.bcae1.com/spkrmlti.htm |

Bronze Member Username: QbenjaminFlorida Post Number: 20 Registered: Nov-06 | Lanzar amps are trash juliob. Buying a lanzar amp is like buying TOMMY GEAR, instead of TOMMY HILFIGER....LOL @ u saying it is a good brand. All of their amps are intensely overrated and are of poor quality. Lucas I would recommend that you look into Hifonics or something like that if you are on a budget. Also those infinity subs that you have are worthless too. ANY MANUFACTURER THAT PUTS OUT A SUBS/AMP AND IT'S RMS ISN'T AT LEAST HALF OF THE SUBS/AMP, MAX POWER, STAY AWAY FROM THEIR PRODUCTS. I have had Lanzar and Power Acoustik when I first started getting into car audio, and I can personally tell you that they are of poor quality. IE (JL=10) (Power Acoustik=4.5) (Lanzar=3)!(Pyramid=2) (Pyle=1) |

Gold Member Username: JuliobSanto DomingoDominican Re... Post Number: 3302 Registered: Dec-05 | hahaha lol! that benchtest you can find it on YOu own MA audio cuz your orion blew. I bought a vibe 1800d cuz i found one for 145 wirh 1 year warranty and the sh1t is still alive and has more than a year. With avalanche, yeah i like raising my post account like you, you're just jealous right? ANd you're right, i've never heard a good system. Happy? now go to sleep, you don't know sh1t about CAR audio. Quintin to end this low end brand thread and you saying that i twisted the specs like lanzar is paying me to talk good about them, check the review here. Just read it, you don't need to agree with me, just a way for you to understand why i say they worth 145$. Avalanche, why don't you read it too??? maybe that way you learn something cuz obviously you don't read everything... Why do i say MA audio is bad. Check this out. They put their ratings at 14.4 volts, but those ratings don't reach their real rms ratings, they put like 1000w rms amp. 200x1 4 ohm 14.4 400.1 2 ohm 14.4 600x1 1 ohm 14.4 These numbers you can barely reach them if you have a good electrical system, with minor voltage drops. For example^^^^ and then they put: 400x1 4 ohm 17 volts 700x1 2 ohm 17 volts 1000x1 1 ohm 17 volts But these "real numbers" is hard or even impossible to reach with any electrical upgrade. Just too hard. That's the reason why i think MA AUDIO is bad. Just MO |

Gold Member Username: LbecknerTulsa, Ok Usa Post Number: 1252 Registered: Oct-04 | Quintin Benjamin I wasn't looking for an amp and I dont have those subs. Juliob if I pulled up next to you with my volume half way up you wouldn't even be able to hear your system with the volume all the way up. I think that pretty much sums it ALL up. So please just STFU and listen and learn. You Biiatch. |
Gold Member Username: JuliobSanto DomingoDominican Re... Post Number: 3305 Registered: Dec-05 | wow lucas you're a genious, i have a 800w rms system and you got a 2K rms. WOW is louder. BRO you're so stupid, of course yours is going to be louder, i don't like too much loudness, i'm not compiting and is very hard to drive with 1k rms bumping in your ride. Mirrors don't work. And lucas, it seems that you watch p0rn cuz you can't get laid and need to learn h0w to f*ck. Is not the same situation when you see a benchtest result, you can determine if the amp is good/bad. You can't judge the quality, but it really gives you an idea of what you're expecting. If carsound.com says the amp is good, then i believe them cuz that's their job. They're not going to talk thrash like you or me. A louder system doesn't means that you know more about car audio than me. check this out. What's the difference between a 1200w rms, like memphis for example and hifonics 1206d They should have the same output, but the difference is the quality. The hifonics is not bad, but the memphis is better. That happens with lanzar too, you can't compare the f*cking lanzar with a 400$ amp. But hell yeah you can compare it to any 145$ amp. lucas STFU you still haven't learned sh1t |

Gold Member Username: JuliobSanto DomingoDominican Re... Post Number: 3313 Registered: Dec-05 | well those are your opinions. I only say lanzar optidrive is good when you're tight. I'm always trying to help people here. This is a good example: "you need a 0.5 ohm stable amp and you're tight" Lanzar optidrive for 330$ puts 1962w rms at 0.5 ohms with 14.4 volts. Is that bad?? for the money, hell no! i'd go for it, and the quality is decent, you're not buying pyramid or sony. If you can afford better, get another brand. I bought a 1200-1400w rms amp for 145$and 1 year warranty. For the budget is awesome and has more than a year bumping my subs, so get over it lucas, you just try to annoy people all the time. Be happy with your 2000w rms and without your lanzar system. |

Gold Member Username: N2audioLawrence, Ks USA Post Number: 1005 Registered: Mar-04 | Lanzar's really blown it recently with the ratings on a lot of their lower priced stuff, which, understandably, seems to have turned a lot of people off. But STILL, for the COST, they put out plenty of power. You simply have to be intelligent enough to recognize you're getting what you PAY for, not what's printed in big bold numbers. Those are, as most of us know, just a method to attract newbie's and dumb people, which it seems this forum is full of. Lanzar's become a bandwagon bash brand, and that's fine, I guess, but of the 10 or so Lanzar's I've owned or currently own, I've had only one problem, and that was with the 1200D when it first hit the market. And the two optidrives I've been running for going on 4 yrs have performed perfectly. Lanzar optidrives are rock solid, and if you can get ahold of an older one - they are considered by many to be among the better amps ever sold. But Lanzar sucks...whatever you say |
