Saturday, October 14, 2006 - 22:51 GMT alrite, making the box, got some of it cut and we went to make sure the screws we got would work. so we pre-drilled the holes and screwed the screw in. the wood cracked. tried it again, same result. tried a bigger pre-drilled hole, no luck. please someone tell me how to do this without the wood cracking. thanks

Saturday, October 14, 2006 - 23:20 GMT use thinner screws like gypsum/drywall screws which is what i use also dont put screws too near the ends of the piece of mdf - put it about 2" away @ least note if u use liquid nails it actually holds steonger than screws itself .....

Sunday, October 15, 2006 - 00:08 GMT yes, keep them from the ends, ends split easy... is there not a slightly larger bit you can use?
