HEY

Maybe you can help.
Starting from my location I scan in about six (6) satellites. When I move far west and scan back after alignment I receive the rest but now I have lost the first set.Over and over the same. I bring in half lose other half. I can't seem to hit the belt.Could it be adjustment to the LNBF? Ithink that I have it set on "0" it hard to tell.Any suggestion.

Kavin....

The problem you have is due to mis-alignment.

Alignment is not just matter of move the dish to an area and adjust elevation, in order to get the whole satellite arc you have to adjust azimuth and elevation...around the web there are several places that tells you how to properly align your dish....take a look for "Dish alignment" over google or any other search engine.....

What motor are you using? I have a STAB120 and had the same problem. I aligned the dish on the motor using a hole in the bracket and the alignment marks on the motor. It just didn't look aligned properly. I eyeballed the alighnment so that it looked square with the motor and it worked like a charm.

Hey David
My motor is next size down . Stabs HH 100
I aligned just like you did.I will try you way today. Now here is my problem.I started alignment with Echo 3 @ 61.5'W & receive a quality signal around 90 then I move the Dish to Echo 7 @ 119.o'W no quality signal I realigned the Dish and I received a quality of 92 on Echo 7,8,10, and Mimiq 1. When I move the Dish back to Echo 3 and Nimiq 2 "O" All day yesterday up & down the roof.I can't seem to hit the belt. Can you scan all the birds?

Thanks for your tip

Yes I can. I started with Nimiq 2. That is the closest to South for me (in W. NC). Stand back about 10' from the dish. You can tell if the dish doesn't look aligned. It's almost like the dish shaft on the motor was not straight up and down.

Once you hit it, you will be happy! I scan the whole arc with 60% to 99%. I have a 36" dish.

Good Luck!

*** Use the motor Installation Instructions!
1. Insure mount pole is straight up/down(Use level)!
2. Set mount elevation and declination per your Lat/Long!
3. Now with pole straight up/down and motor and mount set per instructions using both elevation and declination for your Lat/Long - go inside, turn on unit, set up your southern most satilite to use USALS let the rotor move to it! Then turn unit off...
4. Now just go outside and Fine tune in on that Southern most satelite - the satelite closest to your longitude(east/east degrees)
Example(i'm at 26.2 Lat/ 81.3 Long(West) - I pick as my sourthern most bird as Nimq2 at 82West. You should pick the bird that is closest to you longitude!)

*** Works every time - you'l be right on arch!
Follow the instructions! Setup Usals to aim at Southern most bird. Then go outside and Fine tune on that bird! The rest fall right into place...
