The benifits: Receiving the proper amount of Channels and having less errors

First step you want to do is erase all channels you have scanned inproperly prior or the Pre-made channel list you have uploaded to your receiver

* Using your REMOTE CONTROL, click MENU scroll down to FACTORY SETTING you will notice "WARNING! All Channel (sic) will be DELETED click OK
* After you do a "Factory Setting" (Factory Default) Menu screen will appear requesting that you select a default Language
* English click OK (Select the language you usually work with)
* Installation click OK
* Antenna Setup click OK
* Scroll to Nimiq. 1/Ku (BEV 91) Echo 7/Ku (DN 119) Echo 8.10/Ku (DN 110) or to the satellite/orbit you want (Note select just one for now if you plan on doing more than one) click OK when you selected one.
* The screen that appears next:

In this tutorial we're working with a Legacy LNB and scanning Nimiq 1/Ku BEV 91 first.

In this tutorial we're working with a Legacy LNB and scanning Nimiq 1/Ku BEV 91 first.

Once you have made the necessary adjustments, click EXIT a INFO screen will appear Press OK to Save or EXIT.

Repeat for each TP remembering not to delete the TP you want to keep.

Scroll to the last ALL and click OK
Scanning will commence, once it has finished scanning, click EXIT/EXIT scroll to Antenna Setup scroll to Nimq.1/Ku

Next scroll to Echo 8.10/Ku (or the next satellite you want to scan) click OK make any adjustments needed i.e. DiSEqC etc. etc. Once you check and are confident all is correct,
Click EXIT/OK/EXIT scroll to Edit TP/Satellite, Repeat steps in deleting TP's.
If you have a third Satellite repeat above steps after the first scan was complete for the second and third scan.

VIEWSAT RECEIVER:

* Go to Antenna Setup select the satellite you want to scan. Example Echo 8,10 (DN 110) turn OFF the LNB POWER for all other orbit/satellite, make sure you have two side by side green bars, (S&Q) and the screen says Echo 8,10 at the top.
* Exit and go to CHANNEL SCAN, turn ON network scan if it isn't already, make sure your are set for the same satellite you have turned on in the antenna set up.
* Arrow down to the hammer/screwdriver icon. ie the first one on left, click OK it will highlight a transponder in the list on the left. There should be a green and yellow bar near the upper right now.. that shows you have a signal on that transponder.
* NOW CAREFULLY delete all transponders with the exception of the first one in the list that shows both green and yellow (usually 12224 or 12239) using the F3 key to delete, if you make a mistake, simple exit, dont save , and start over.
* Once you have done this, click OK and the unit will scan ALL transponders and channels and you will be missing NOTHING. Plus with viewsat the names for channels are all correct. EXIT, and SAVE.
* Next go to Edit Channels, click OK, click right arrow four times "Sort channel list" click OK Sort by SID SAVE and watch TV.

Repeat steps for each satellite/orbit that you need scanned, make sure that after each satellite is scanned and no further scanning is needed that the LNB are turned back ON for each one.
