Hello, my computer does not recognize firewire connected sony camcorder DCR-TRV260. Pinnacle studio complains that it's not connected or configured propertly. THe *same* configuration used to work few months ago.
I have applied windows patches and i suspect it might have something to do with it. In DeviceManafer under "IEE 1394 Bus host controllers" i have one "VIA OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller" and i think that means the cam corder. there are no question marks and it says it works properly.
The camera's display does say "DV in" but the computer does not change in any way (cursor blink or anything) when i plug/unplug firewire cable. I dont know where to get driver for firewire for this camera. Please, advise. The system used to work fine few months ago (last time i tried to get video off it). I also installed USB drivers out of desperation but when i hook up camcorder through USB, still no effect. System info: Win 2000, SP4; Sony DCR-TRV260, Pinnacle Studio v9.3.5 Thank you in advance for any help/pointers.
