Ok, here's the deal. I'm planning to run a 3200w RMS system and the largest alternator I can get for my vehicle is 300 amp and 100 amp idle. Would this be enough power for 3200w RMS, and would a new battery help? If so what battery should I get? Also, there is no dual alternator adapter for my vehicle. Thanks.

Look into a odyssey 2150S battery or a kinetik 2400.

Is there a way to calculate how big the alt needs to be based on how many watts the amp puts out?

I found it:
http://www.wickedcases.com/caraudio/charging.html

And damn thats a lot of power. The larget alt I can get from excessive amperage is 200 amp / 110 amp idle. I will prob get the 240 / 115 from Iraggi. They also make a 300 / 135 I would like to have that but damn it costs $420!

don't go cheap with anything Audio or electronic related or you will regreat it later.

Watts RMS / 12.6 = Amperage of current draw.
add stock Alt size or 50 amps for the car to run off of and you have a good starting point for what size alt to look for. the bigger the better though.

lights will always dim a little, extra batteries close to the amps can help with that or an isolated electrical system setup, one for the car, one for the system.

Excessive amperage or Iraggi makes the best alts i know of. Ohio Gen alts are good, but expencive and they will only sell to a store, not an individual. Meangreen and powermaster are good, but only for domestic cars i think. thats all i know of.
