I would say it will be louder than a SSX... a MT is louder than a SSX... the SSX is a SQL sub, but it can get as loud or louder than some SPL subs... would a SSX take the amount of power a MT would? NO would a SSX sound better than a MT, yes... BTL, I havent heard, but I heard the SQ is better than a MT! |

BECUZ i was at a comp and the guy with the BTL was hitting 142 with his btl and with my 15"ssx i wuz hitting 141 THIS WAS BASSRACE he never burped it so im guessing they are pretty much equal! |

Post Number: 1765 Registered: Apr-06 | i never sed it would replace the mt DUUUUUUHH but u make it seem tht playing music and hitting in the mid 140s is easy..its not..u have no clue and the ones tht do hit in the 140s are in TRUCKS DER DER DER his wuz in a SUV~~~~not a crx not a truck hitting those numbers in an SUV are difficult steven u have to take into account what cars/suv/trucks tht the subs are gunna be of course in a truck u'll be able to play music and hit 144 because u dont have to move as much air in a truck as u do in an suv to hit the same number...... use ur head or elaborate a bit more...u are very vague and only look at numbers wen it cumes to hitting a certian decibel!!!! |

Gold Member Username: StnorrisIA US Post Number: 1389 Registered: Apr-06 | drivin shut the fu8ck i would care less what you say. your just mad cuase you bought an ssx and its not even that great. haha. when i get right around or over 144, with half the power you got, ill just laugh. so go ahead and keep saying "im not competing against anyone else, im competing against myself." ya that would make sense, if you owned a meter and measured it. but when you go to a comp with it, i dont think u would jsut be competing against urself. and chad i think marshall did say around 144 music average. maybe it was 143, but still it was with 1200rms. i know its a truck, but its extended cab, and a car with all seats folded down, and sub facing in, will be similar. Im getting my sub metered in about a week or so, and ill see what i get. |

That is 30sec average on music and I did 144.5...and I could do 138's at 28hz You cant just build a box and think its gonna be loud. You HAVE to test! I only burped at 144.6 w/ my first box w/ my SX15. There is alot more that goes into getting loud that 90% of the people realize. Loud to the ear doesnt nessesarly mean its gonna be loud on the meter. That 138 at 28hz rattled the hell ouf of me, but it was only 138! If have you never had a chance to sit in 145+ at ~45-50hz, you DONOT realize just how loud that is. If you can do 145 w/ 1 15" in a daily driver...you ARE loud IMO! As you get louder, getting one more 0.1dB gets harder and harder....trust me. Burping at 150+ at 65hz is great and all, but if you can play any and all music while hittin 140's all day long...THAT IS A SYSTEM. |
