Silver Member Username: LowfrontPost Number: 129 Registered: Jun-05 | Wondering the best place to get box carpet. And how much would I need to a single 10inch box sealed. I see crutchfield has some for 30bucks. I don't know should I just go with that seeing I need to get a couple things from there. Also where should I get the speaker terminal for the sub? Crutchfield again? |

Good quality carpet is thick but its very flexible. just go to ur local cau audio shop, it will be cheaper than buyin onine. |

Gold Member Username: Dustin3Tigard, OR U.S. Post Number: 3411 Registered: Oct-05 | lol. yes, if you can see throgh it, its not carpet. but the flexibility of the carpet is very very important. and chaper carpet has barely any flexibility. i have touches and bent 3 diff carpets for boxes in the last three days. and two of them you couldnt use, because they were not flexible |

Post Number: 9038 Registered: Jul-05 | i have 2 disagree on carpet is carpet available locally where im from we get 2 kinds of box carpet - 1 type has rather compact fibres & is a lil bit more stiifer , other type the fibres r a bit more loose/furry , the furry kind obviously has a different texture BUT the biggest problem with it is that it soaks up more contact cement when u apply it but it is also a bit more stretchy than the other type - i prefer the more compact lil bit more stiffer carpet , but either works just as fine tho .......just my 2cents here ... |
