Will the DD 2500 still sound great in a sealed box?

Once again I am trying to decide between the Treo SSI or the DD2500 single twelve. I have heard that treo's sound good in sealed boxes but i am not sure about the DD2500's. I am looking more for sound quality but i still want it to hit hard. Can these subs sound good i a sealed box or should i be looking elsewhere?

youd love the dd2500 get 2 10's of those 2 dual 4's and the orion2500d and they would sound really good and pound like heck my advice is get a ported box tuned to 33 or 35hz it would act as a sealed box prettymuch but go way louder!

well....DD recommends ported for all of their drivers due to their super stiff suspensions, and for its ability to be louder....but the lower lines as well as the higher one have been put in sealed boxes by people and they liked the results.:-)

go with whichever is easier for you to get, they are both nice...but......i believe the 2500 will hit harder, don't tell anybody.Upload:-)

Would it be better to just get a smaller ported box that would be different then the box DD recommends? Would that still sound better than a sealed box?

Muddy, even thought the 2500 is only rated for 500 rms, they can really take over 1000?? Unless andy F is on crack... Cuz putting 2 of those on a Orion 2500D would be giving each close to 1500 wrms!

yes. i have my 10" 2500 on 900wRMS on a DLS A6 everyday.:-)

they are rated to take up to 1500wRMS - clean power, and use common sense.
obviously the larger subs will handle it better b/c all the motors handle the same power, it is when it it released is when it can become risky. lol

they don't recommend you go over 1200wRMS if you are inexperienced. cuz they figure you will clip it and blow it and then blame them for putting tomuch power to it.:-)

andy is a tard.

he had them on a Orion 2500D on a stock alt. in a 70hz box.....
