I'm using a Nikon VN-800 camcorder that seems to work fine except that the adapter that my friend let me borrow does not seem to let me play the camcorder on the television. The adapter is an AC-80 with white and yellow jacks on the back for both audio\video in and audio\video out, however when I connect the adapter to the camcorder the camcorder and adapter both turn off. I'm completely baffled. I've tried connecting the yellow and white cables into their respective sockets on the tv and the adapter, but I can't for the life of me get the camcorder to work with this.
