I can't say much about their DVD units; I haven't used them. Their top of the line head units are amazing and are extremely competitive with other head units in the same class. However, Clarion's mid to low end head units aren't that great feature-wise (especially considering the lack of HPF in many), but they get the job done and still have a really good build quality.

Con : Never own a clarion, i don't know, im an alpine freak! You can't go wrong with Alpine.

You can get the cable directly from Apple if you want ($19), but it's far cheaper on ebay. I'm not sure you'll find many real CONS with higher end Clarion HUs. Lots of features, reliable products.
