New member Username: Jordan_1Post Number: 1 Registered: Aug-06 | Alright. I'm new to the car audio thing and was wondering if i could get a little help. I've been torn between 3 options. 1st option i get JbL speakers from a good friend for wholesale prices. 2nd options there is a store here in town that is trying to sell me memphis speakers and a dB sub street edge amp. 3rd option is that i buy from a site online where i could get a Rockford amp MTX subs and go ahead and get Memphis speakers.. but ive never had a system so if there is a better option im willing to spend around 500-600 dollars on a system.. considering i only have 1 working speaker in my vehicle ATM :P -- Thanks |

Bronze Member Username: RiskybPost Number: 44 Registered: Feb-06 | Actually wouldn't 2 ohms be the loudest but 8 ohms would sound the best? An amplifier is going to have less harmonic distortion with more resistance, but isn't going to be able to push as much power to the speaker. |
