Hello Buddies, I'm back with a question in mind and to get your help. Which amps are putting their rated power. I mean not under or overrated. If its 500WRMs, it should 500 WRMS. Not 525 or so or not 45. or so.
regulated power supply will allow them to put out their proper power at any impedence and voltage in their working range. The jl slash series amps themselves are underrated they do put out more power then they say. To determine watts you use the fuse ratings on the amp and the efficiency.
i knew the jl 1000/1 put out clean 1000wrms. also i was under the impression that the regulated power supply would limit the amp from putting out more power resulting in no clipping.
No and there will not be...there are no mandated standards as to how an amp gets its power rating and how they can claim these ratings. As long as they can show that it pushes out a certain number of watts per channel, it doesn't matter how they got thsoe readings as long as they can show that they got it.
you should buy an underrated amp, so if you don't have a good electrical system your amp can put the power you want for example if you need 800w rms, you get an amp with 800w rms at 12V right, so when your bass hits and the voltage drops, your amp will be putting 800wrms, got it??
it shouldnt matter if an amp puts out a little more then its rated for say 25 or 50rms over because that isnt going to make the difference wether your sub blows or not.
