Acient sony camcorder

I have a Sony Handycam video HI8 camcorder model number ccd-tr100 and when I try to turn it on with a fulley charged bat nonthing hapens. Eavn the timer screen does not go on and when I tried to eject the tape (it has a motor driver eject mech)nonthing hapapend. Plese help! But if no-one can help its no big prob. cause im geting a new one soon!

That is your best bet. Get a new one.

we should not use camcorder using tape. DVD is better,

No it is not. DVD Camcorder still has too much lag when yuo get to the end of the session. You have to wait for it to finalize and there is just too much that can go wrong and compatibility issues. A better way is to use a camcorder that uses a hard drive to record. You do not have to worry about formats changing.

hard drive? you mean the thing like built-in memory that user dont have to use disk or tape? What brand of such camcorder do you recommend? please tell me the exact model so I should buy to instead of my current one

JVC Everio. I believe Sony is going to come up with something similar.
