My uncle wants to make his truck sound bettter and I want him to understand that 6.5" round speakers are better than 6x9's. What are the differences that make them better because I'm trying to have him get rid of his 6x9 and put in 6.5

6x9 have more surface space so they move more air, and without better tweeters alot of times the bass drowns out the highs or makes them muddy.

The 6x9's, being an 'odd' shape, will distort more easily because the cone composition's not uniform like on a round speaker.
