New member Username: Naledge503Portland, Oregon U.S. Post Number: 8 Registered: Jun-06 | 2 cvx 12D2, i'm on a $250 budget and i know that aint gonna get it done so i'm just lookin for a budget amp. not for SQ. |

True...but that's only until the amplifier starts clipping, with cheap amps, it happens faster and is much more noticeable because they have subpar power supplies. |
Gold Member Username: Dustin3Tigard, Or U.S. Post Number: 2163 Registered: Oct-05 | could you look at a kicker zx1500??? its 2 ohm stable so you can wire down to 2 ohms and get 750 to each sub... |
Silver Member Username: Troy81Tavernier, Fl Us Post Number: 518 Registered: Mar-06 | i dont believe in that a watt is a watt at all, but every one on here seems to for some reason |

Post Number: 8420 Registered: Jul-05 | only the ripper d3 & IQ series from boss r really worth something , both put out close 2 their 1000wrms rating , d3 does it @ 20hms while IQ is @ 1 ohm. Really i wont rec some1 2 buy boss when there r better stuff out there even on a budget - look @ Hifonics & Directed amps > both r way better ....... |
New member Username: Naledge503Portland, Oregon U.S. Post Number: 9 Registered: Jun-06 | I was looking at some directed amps too, and some power acoustik, and MA audio. I'm thinking about going with a phoenix gold, R15.0:1 and under powering them. |
Gold Member Username: Dustin3Tigard, Or U.S. Post Number: 2174 Registered: Oct-05 | Dont underpower CVX's. they are good subs and you should give them the RMS rating. at least go for this, its like 280 and will put out 1500 watts @ 1 ohm. http://cgi.ebay.com/HIFONICS-BXi1606D-Class-D-Mono-Amplifier-Amp-BXi-1606D_W0QQi temZ300004072243QQihZ020QQcategoryZ18797QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem |
Gold Member Username: Dustin3Tigard, Or U.S. Post Number: 2175 Registered: Oct-05 | or if you want somthin pretty cheap, you could get 2 audiobahn a8002t's which are like 120 each. so around 240. this will give each sub 800 watts |
New member Username: Naledge503Portland, Oregon U.S. Post Number: 10 Registered: Jun-06 | i cant run 2 cvx 12D2 at 1 ohm it has to be 2 ohms, if i'm going to go with audiobahn, do you think i should go with the A16000V instead. it is 1600 rms @ 2 ohms and i can get it for about $230 |
Gold Member Username: Dustin3Tigard, Or U.S. Post Number: 2177 Registered: Oct-05 | ohh yea. i forgot u had the 2 ohm version. yes, you could get the a16000v, but the only reason why i said the a8002t's is becausae i kno for a fact that it puts out the rated power... the higher up audiobahn amps i am not sure of... but yes, the a16000v would be great. i would get it |
Bronze Member Username: Naledge503Portland, Oregon U.S. Post Number: 11 Registered: Jun-06 | Yeah, i had a a8002t running 2 10" audiobahn aw1005n and even though it was way underpowered, it hit almost as good as my older system which was 2 jl 12w3 with a older style rockford fosgate 250a2. i was really surprised. |
Gold Member Username: Dustin3Tigard, Or U.S. Post Number: 2178 Registered: Oct-05 | ya. they are nice amps |
Gold Member Username: JuliobSanto DomingoDominican Re... Post Number: 1217 Registered: Dec-05 | IDK about the 1600V i don't recommend it, get 2 a8000t's. The16000v is kinda questionable and audiobum high end stuff tends to blow. |
