Just 1 12" somthing over 500RMS in terms of powerfull. I also know that RMS doenst always mean how much bass it puts out. Id also look to a Capacitor if neccecary. |

Digitial Designs ... makes quite possibly the best competition woofers ever .. and JL Audio.. all the way down to there bottom of the line driver are all way more then exceptional ... alpine is known for their source units ... defintely not for speakers or amplifiers ... although there Type R and X series are average ... i also dont believe that u think just because chauncey doest like type X's that everyone else is going to jump on his back and ultimately agree wit h him ... i guarntee he is way more knowable then u ever will be ... and anyoperson who has expierience in the car audio field will tell u that they are nothing more then an average woofer .. thats about it ... so if ur gonna try and help someone out be my guest ... but dont downplay a good sub such as a Digital designs or JL driver ... cuz they will ultimately decimate any competition ... |

I have heard many type x's in a vast variety of enclosures and like Mike said they are all nothing more then average. Don't reccomend a sub to someone else when you have nothing else to compare it to. If all you have heard is your AMAZING type X I reccomend that you go out and start listening to some different lines such as JL,Image dynamics,RE,DD,Boston Acoustic,Eclipse,Treo,ect.... you will soon find out that your type X isnt what it was all cracked up to be. |

The 2500's have excellent SQ and get loud, the 3500's have excellent SQ and the ability to get very loud, this continues all the way up the line's with the 9100, the 9500, and even the 9900 have decent SQ. BEfore you post something rediculious know what you are talking about first! |
