yeah i was just wondering if i was right in saying that.. cuz i cant realy aford to spend money on a new alternator for my car i rather just get a jl mono amplifer 500/1 let me know ur views thanks.

a 500/1 will draw over 50A of current at full output.
If your stock system can support an additional 50A+ of draw, you're ok.
It doesn't matter who makes the amp. Any class D amp putting out over 500 watts of power is going to draw about the same amount of current.
