alt do u guys think i need for a orion 2500d and a jl 300/2 i did the calculations and it came out to 285 for a/v equipment and i believe the car is 85 amps at peak power and nate told me all he can get direct bolt is a 200 amp alt will that be fine or something bigger i believe i will need bigger
200 amps *should* be enough if you're not burpin it all day long.
I believe B is running over 5,000 watts RMS on a 300 amp alternator and it's working very well for him.
Personally, I'm running 2400 watts RMS (a pair of xenon 600.1's, and a xenon 1200.1) with about 300 watts RMS in class AB amps on top of that, with a 200 amp alternator and it's working out great.
