lynchem Unregistered guest | DISABLED MOVIE BUFF NEEDS YOUR HELP: Can anyone give me a hand unlocking the region codes on my Sony DVD player, model # DVP - NS5759 I'm disabled and already had an only 7 month old Zenith DVD+VCR player (model XBV442) go bad on me...the Zenith heats up almost instantly when a DVD is played...I mean hot...it has from day one, but I didn't know it wasn't normal until it started skipping on every movie like every disc was damaged...it skips on brand new & used DVDs that I know play perfect on the Sony.....I got this SONY DVP - NS575P cheap, to replace the Zenith, and it doesn't even get warm when played..... unlike many folks, I don't have a job/income to afford another player becuz of my disability, and so I would really appreciate it if somebody knows the code to open up the region codes and make it region free...it might sound corny, but my mother - more like my whole family - would be grateful if somebody could help me out with a code, becuz they all went in on the Zenith DVD+VCR player for me this last Christmas so that I'd have a better picture than OLD vhs tapes to keep me company at night when I can't sleep due to pain...which is every nite...and they all feel bad that it broke down already...I'm going to try and return it to the store(Circuit City) but it's been 8 months now. I'm forced to live on hardcore pain killers for 4 years now so far..and as much as an endless supply of pain meds might sound great to some folks, it sucks big time when you have to take them every day just to be able to sit up. So again, some help with a code would be greatly appreciated....I tried to find a code myself, but it seems I can find the code for every Sony model but mine...or are the codes the same...all I find is STANDBY MODE-TITLE-CLEAR-POWER for other Sonys. anyway...
