My question will need someone really experienced to answer it. I live in an apartment complex, where the landlord provides the wiring for dishnetwork. I have subscribed to both dish 61.5 and 119, and is working fine with the original Dish 500 receiver. I have got Ariza 700 box, when I search for satellites, it just find the 61.5 satellite and can't see the 119. How can I fix that? NB: there is only one 119 satellite which is connected to different apartment.
Look into DiSEqC settings. You should set 119W to DiSEqC port 2 and 61.5W to DiSEqC port 3. If you have 110W, set it on port 1. I assume you have ONE cable coming in your unit with signal for both 61.5w and 119w - therefore its coming from a switch, a DiSEqC switch, in your case, likely a series of DP34 switches.
Hi Thanks for your reply I found out that the switch connected to the receiver is SW21. I kept testing through changing the input from 1&2 but didn't work how ever I set it, it just pick up the 61.5 transponders but nothing for the 119. What I'm guessing is: the main LNB for the 119 satellite is connected to one of the DP34 switches and then one of the output is connected to the to the SW21 along with the other input from the 61.5 satellite. If my guessing is right how would the setting on the receiver to get the 119 signals? If I'm wrong what else it could be done to get the 119 I'll appreciate any thoughts
