Gold Member Username: Stu_pittIrvington, New York USA Post Number: 1016 Registered: May-05 | Sorry guys, I was away for the weekend. The jacuzzi line did come from "Trading Places." One of my all time favorites. |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 863 Registered: Apr-05 | Damn berny, I didn't think anybody would come up with that one. I thought it's only me being forced to watch it a million times because my little boys like it. Not that it's a bad movie. |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 6928 Registered: Dec-03 | I know what you mean, Stof. |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 864 Registered: Apr-05 | Ok how about this one: "I've worked in the real world. They expect results" |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 6935 Registered: Dec-03 | Who you gonna call? "Ghostbusters" |
Silver Member Username: RedlinerWilmington, Ma Post Number: 991 Registered: Jun-05 | why do i get the idea berny is cheating on these and looking online someplace lol jk with you berny you watch to many movies lol |
Silver Member Username: NemenPost Number: 510 Registered: Dec-05 | Okay guys this is gonna be a real hard one i might have to give some clues for this LUKE I AM YOURE FATHER good luck! |
Silver Member Username: RedlinerWilmington, Ma Post Number: 999 Registered: Jun-05 | lol your a funny one nemen mhh i wonder maybe its umm mary poppins jk star wars-just wanted to make sure you guys didnt think i knew what it was lol |
Silver Member Username: NemenPost Number: 512 Registered: Dec-05 | lol good job charlie you win a cookie |
Silver Member Username: John_sColumbus, Ohio US Post Number: 811 Registered: Feb-04 | Hate to get philosophical, but I liked this line for a recent movie: "Life is not the amount of breaths you take--it's the moments that take your breath away." And no, it's not Mary Poppins. |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 6941 Registered: Dec-03 | That quote is used a lot nowadays. "Hitch" |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 865 Registered: Apr-05 | Technically Charlie, you are wrong. It was Empire Strikes Back, not Star Wars. |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 866 Registered: Apr-05 | Ok this is going to be tough even for Berny. "Who are those guys" "I don't know, but what ever it is they are selling, I don't want to buy" |
Gold Member Username: RedlinerWilmington, Ma Post Number: 1006 Registered: Jun-05 | ohh wateva stof you couldnt just let me be happy for once and get one lol jk but ya i knew that and nemen i wil gladly take that cookie |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 6955 Registered: Dec-03 | You are right Stof...I have no clue where this one is from. More hints might help |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 869 Registered: Apr-05 | Ok one more clue: "for a moment there, I thought we'd be in trouble" |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 7018 Registered: Dec-03 | Dude, I say that all the time! No clue...lame excuse but, man, that line is not memorable or even unique at all...it could come from any movie or TV show even. |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 873 Registered: Apr-05 | Finally got you stumped just kidding. Actually the line is probably as classic as "here is looking at you kid", but it is in context of the scene. All right here is another one: "there is something I gotta tell you, I never killed anybody before" "Helluva time to tell me" |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 7058 Registered: Dec-03 | I don't think I've seen this one in a veeery long time. But the only thing that popped to my head was a classic movie "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid". |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 875 Registered: Apr-05 | Correct. Are you sure you're not cheating |
Gold Member Username: BestmankindLos Angeles, CA USA Post Number: 3163 Registered: Oct-05 | okay i got one. "just out of curiousity, which casinos were you guys planning on robbing?" "mgm grand, mirage, and the bellagio" |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 7086 Registered: Dec-03 | Not at all Stof...it's just sometimes the lines get blurred when they all seem to be coming from different movies. That was tough, though or maybe just too old For some reason I was thinking The Unforgiven and Big Trouble in Little China, when you gave the other clues. When you brought in "helluva time to tell me...", that kind of brought things together. But if you kept repeating the "Who are those guys?" line over and over again, it would have been easier, because Butch kept asking that in the movie. |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 876 Registered: Apr-05 | I'll take a wild guess and say Ocean's Eleven |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 7087 Registered: Dec-03 | I'm thinking "Ocean's Eleven". But I could be wrong, there are many Las Vegas movies. But the three casinos you mentioned were only brought together in one movie being owned by one Terry Benedict... |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 7088 Registered: Dec-03 | Argh...Stof beat me to it |
Gold Member Username: RedlinerWilmington, Ma Post Number: 1075 Registered: Jun-05 | berny i was gonna get the sundance one because i cheated but i didnt post it lol i would have felt bad |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 7101 Registered: Dec-03 | Hey Charlie...how is your spring break going so far? |
Gold Member Username: RedlinerWilmington, Ma Post Number: 1080 Registered: Jun-05 | umm not to good boring the gf got sick so cant go out with her and i get out of work at the wrong time so other people are already out so i just sit at my house at night so boring |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 7122 Registered: Dec-03 | well that's no fun at all |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 1979 Registered: Dec-04 | 'Your mouthwash ain't makin' it.' Movie? |
Gold Member Username: Thx_3417Post Number: 1389 Registered: May-05 | Morning all I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of "Die Hard 2" but I'm sure that's the wrong answer. Ashley |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 924 Registered: Apr-05 | That would be Dirty Harry, in the Enforcer. I must admit, I cheated. This post isn't as much fun since I found the cheating sites. |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 2038 Registered: Dec-04 | OK Stof, no cheating. "do you know you're last name is an adverb?' I can't wait to hint. Spoken by the absolutely sexy Marilou Henner. She's seen more cats than the SPCA.LOL! |
Gold Member Username: Stu_pittIrvington, New York USA Post Number: 1112 Registered: May-05 | It used to be one of my favorites when I was a little younger. I saw it again about 2 years ago and wondered what I found so funny about it, though their are some good lines in it... Johnny Dangerously. |
Gold Member Username: Stu_pittIrvington, New York USA Post Number: 1116 Registered: May-05 | Sorry I answered it without any hints. The movie's got some great lines. Please feel free to post your hints. |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 7403 Registered: Dec-03 | That is a great movie. "This is a Magnum 88...it shoots through schools!" |
Gold Member Username: Stu_pittIrvington, New York USA Post Number: 1123 Registered: May-05 | "You shouldn't kick me in the balls... My sister kicked me in the balls once... Once." |
New member Username: Blairthumb267USA Post Number: 2 Registered: Apr-06 | I love that movie!! That would be Johnny Dangerously. The opening song is the best! |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 2124 Registered: Dec-04 | Ya shouldn't oughtn't to hang me on a hook, Johnny. My grandmother hung me on a hook once. Once. I know it's over but it still brings a smile. OK, how about this one... "And another thing. You Americans are simply obsessed with bosoms" |
Gold Member Username: Stu_pittIrvington, New York USA Post Number: 1134 Registered: May-05 | It sounds familiar. |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 2129 Registered: Dec-04 | Start of the movie "did you see that? The way he just went sailing off there?" Old movie |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 2141 Registered: Dec-04 | Oscar winner, Altman movie. |
Gold Member Username: Stu_pittIrvington, New York USA Post Number: 1140 Registered: May-05 | How old? It's bothering me a little more than I care to admit. "Kind of like where do I know that person from..." |
Silver Member Username: John_sColumbus, Ohio US Post Number: 860 Registered: Feb-04 | Nashville? |
Gold Member Username: Stu_pittIrvington, New York USA Post Number: 1147 Registered: May-05 | "Kind of like where do I know that person from..." Sorry, that wasn't a movie quote. It was late last night. I meant the movie Nuck mentions is bothering me more than I care to admit. Kind of like seeing someone and asking yourself "Where do I know that person from?" More hints/clues Nuck? |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 2147 Registered: Dec-04 | Buddy Hackett, the three Stooges, Sid Ceaser... |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 941 Registered: Apr-05 | It's a mad mad mad mad mad mad....world I forget how many mad's I didn't cheat |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 942 Registered: Apr-05 | I thought the funniest of all was Jonathan Winters "It's under a big dubya" Unlike this country. Just joking. |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 2148 Registered: Dec-04 | Man, Stof, you must been here at the right time. My favorite movie(top 3). Mrs Nuck hates it. All the screaming and running around! And Winter riding the little girl's bicycle! Advanced ordered from Amazon a couple of years ago. |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 2149 Registered: Dec-04 | Heres an easy one: "more cops, more guns, more drug sniffing dogs than you've seen in wildest hallucinations" |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 943 Registered: Apr-05 | I have to agree with Mrs. Nuck pretty from pretty much after they found the money. The rest was just too much running around and screaming. |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 2152 Registered: Dec-04 | The scary part is, Ethyl Merman never screams, she just sounds like that all the time. |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 945 Registered: Apr-05 | Like 400 grade sandpaper on your nerves. |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 2154 Registered: Dec-04 | Ant 'cops and guns' takers? |
Gold Member Username: Stu_pittIrvington, New York USA Post Number: 1167 Registered: May-05 | Any clues Nucko? |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 2210 Registered: Dec-04 | Kinda gives it all away. Clint film. |
Gold Member Username: Stu_pittIrvington, New York USA Post Number: 1190 Registered: May-05 | Pink Cadillac? |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 2215 Registered: Dec-04 | The Gauntlet. Clint and the chick are holed up in a cave and a bike gang arrive at said cave. Clint bullshirts and strongarms them, and steals a bike. |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 962 Registered: Apr-05 | Ok here is one from way back "Is the bank going to give my money back?" "They didn't use to, but they do now" truth in advertising: It wasn't from a movie, but it is still a classic. |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 2301 Registered: Dec-04 | Credit union? |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 7708 Registered: Dec-03 | I'm stumped. More clues... |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 7709 Registered: Dec-03 | heck...forget it...I don't even vaguely remember anything like that. Spill it! |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 2333 Registered: Dec-04 | C'Mon Stof... |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 964 Registered: Apr-05 | Sorry I've been off-line for a while. Ok one more clue. I didn't know money came from a can sure it does, see it says right on it canned coin (corn) |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 7788 Registered: Dec-03 | I got nothin' |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 965 Registered: Apr-05 | Ok it's a Three Stooges episode where they run into a young lady who is saving up money to have an operation for her young son so he doesn't have to walk with a cane. They end up breaking into Fort Knox by mistake. Another classic line after they break in: "There is enough money here for Timmy to have his operation" "There is enough money here for all of us to have an operation" |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 966 Registered: Apr-05 | On the theme of money, here is another one. This one is a movie. "He told me that we never have to worry about money again. That's good...one less thing." |
Gold Member Username: RedlinerWilmington, Ma Post Number: 1660 Registered: Jun-05 | omg i know that movie errrrrrr ive seen it maney times i know i have damnit i hate the tip of the tongue think |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 2380 Registered: Dec-04 | Three Kings? |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 967 Registered: Apr-05 | Nope. |
Gold Member Username: Stu_pittIrvington, New York USA Post Number: 1244 Registered: May-05 | Forrest Gump |
Gold Member Username: Stu_pittIrvington, New York USA Post Number: 1245 Registered: May-05 | Speaking of money... - What would you do if you had a million dollars? - Two chicks... At the same time. Great movie. A lot of great quotes from that one. |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 968 Registered: Apr-05 | Correct. |
Gold Member Username: Stu_pittIrvington, New York USA Post Number: 1247 Registered: May-05 | Anyone going to take a shot my quote? |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 7843 Registered: Dec-03 | Office Space |
Gold Member Username: Stu_pittIrvington, New York USA Post Number: 1248 Registered: May-05 | I'm gonna have to go ahead and say that's correct. |
Gold Member Username: Thx_3417Post Number: 1449 Registered: May-05 | Hears a good one, I'd say this is an easy one...so what's the film then? "Their shields are going up!" "They're locking phasers - !" "Raise shields!" |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 7864 Registered: Dec-03 | Hey Andy! I know how much you hate SPAM...How do you feel about this SCAM artist? https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/suggestions/221849.html I say, this bugger is something that'll rile you up ENGAGE! |
Bronze Member Username: BigsimPost Number: 62 Registered: Jan-06 | That would be... The wrath of Khan. What about this one? -Do you like apples? -Yeah -Well I got her number, how do you like them apples? |
Gold Member Username: Stu_pittIrvington, New York USA Post Number: 1254 Registered: May-05 | Good Will Hunting |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 975 Registered: Apr-05 | Assuming that is correct here is the next one no cheating Cry havoc, and let slip the Dogs of War |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 2424 Registered: Dec-04 | Captain and Commander? |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 978 Registered: Apr-05 | Afraid not |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 988 Registered: Apr-05 | Nobody else wants to take a crack at this? |
Bronze Member Username: BigsimPost Number: 68 Registered: Jan-06 | I know where it's from, but that's coz I cheated... |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 2515 Registered: Dec-04 | I googled it and still lost. Uncle. |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 990 Registered: Apr-05 | Go ahead simon, I'll let you guess because, though you probably will get it right, it is a little tricky. |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 7983 Registered: Dec-03 | Is that a movie? I thought it was a quote from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar?? |
Gold Member Username: Thx_3417Post Number: 1462 Registered: May-05 | I'm at lost with that one? Sorry didn't catch the link Berny, looks like admin has terminated it! |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 2529 Registered: Dec-04 | Et tu, Berny? |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 995 Registered: Apr-05 | Not bad at all Berny and thus the trick in the quote for which you get half the credit. It was famously quoted by General Chang in the Star Trek VI The undiscovered country. General Chang as you may recall preferred Shakespear in the "Original Klingon" |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 7987 Registered: Dec-03 | good one Stof. |
Bronze Member Username: BigsimPost Number: 72 Registered: Jan-06 | I found Julius Caesar, not the Star Trek quote, so I would've been half wrong as well. What about this one? "Ezekiel 25:17..." |
Silver Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 996 Registered: Apr-05 | That would be Pulp Fiction. Great use and re-analysis of the quote. |
Silver Member Username: Jdsaenz1Post Number: 118 Registered: Jun-04 | Know this one? : (singing)"Give me my fabricated 1/2 inch pipe...and I'll beat the crap out of you!" |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 2639 Registered: Dec-04 | The whole nine yards? |
Silver Member Username: Jdsaenz1Post Number: 120 Registered: Jun-04 | Oh! Sorry, mate. But that is a good one. Shall I throw another bone? (from the same scene): "I've got to shout 'Europe' at the sink." "Europe?" "You're uuup!" (hilarity ensues) |
Gold Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 1018 Registered: Apr-05 | I don't think you have any takers. You might as well give it out. |
Silver Member Username: Jdsaenz1Post Number: 121 Registered: Jun-04 | I can't believe it's come to this. Both quotes are from Arthur 2: On the Rocks. |
Silver Member Username: Jdsaenz1Post Number: 122 Registered: Jun-04 | Ok. How about: "We're in some real pretty s&*! now, man! That's it, man...game over, man; game over!" |
Gold Member Username: ChitownPost Number: 1024 Registered: Apr-05 | Sounds like something from Cheech and chung. |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 8155 Registered: Dec-03 | Aliens |
Silver Member Username: Jdsaenz1Post Number: 123 Registered: Jun-04 | None other than. Good deal, Mr. Bern. |
Silver Member Username: Jdsaenz1Post Number: 124 Registered: Jun-04 | Got another: A: "What did I say?" B: "You called his niece a 'hoor'." C: "A very cheap one." B: "She's seven!" |
Gold Member Username: Project6Post Number: 8158 Registered: Dec-03 | Can't remember if it is "Ocean's Eleven" or is it "Ocean's Twelve"?!? |
Silver Member Username: Jdsaenz1Post Number: 125 Registered: Jun-04 | It is 12! Bern's too fast (and too furious). It's part of the scene where they realize that "The Amazing Yen" is in a duffle bag sent to the wrong city, so they don't have a 'grease man' now. |
Gold Member Username: NuckPost Number: 2761 Registered: Dec-04 | Red as a lobster, actor says: 'that's a good base'. |
Silver Member Username: Jdsaenz1Post Number: 127 Registered: Jun-04 | Don't think there's a winner...UNCLE! |
