I have been using Fortec Ultra Lifetime with 61.5 satellite. I have changed the apartment and the new apartment has 110W. Also, the new apartment provides special receiver which does not have card in it and is pre programmed.

Whenever I connect the Satellite cable to the receiver the receiver seems to power off and you get nothing on the TV (not even Menu). Any ideas?

Apprceiate whatever help can be provided.

Thanks.

What's the new receiver? Is the fortec the special receiver or is the one in the new apt. a different one?

The receiver is the Fortec receiver.

Ok, just so we're clear, the receiver that's powering off when you connect the cable from the dish is a Fortec Ultra Lifetime. You're not getting any menu, and there are no channels viewable.

That's correct. The moment I connect the satellite cable the receiver appears power off. No menu. I cannot even check whether I am receiving the signal or not.

Thanks for helping me out.

Grim,

I am using digital audio/video to view on TV. Also, the satellite cable is a coaxial.

Thanks.

Infinity,
I'm doing a little research on the problem but not having much luck at the moment but I'll continue unless Grim can help you in the meantime.
Have you tried not using the dig A/V to view, rather run a coax instead with the same results?
