C*Sat help - LK please

Currently I have some DN channels working after a blind scan - but not all. Usually (since Friday - when I did a reset) I need to rescan every 5 min - 4hours, to revive the black screens. I can never recover all the PPV, my husband's beloved Tennis channel or some others - even when I try manual or PID scan. What's up? P.S. and what does auto-roll really mean?
