I recently returned a Toshiba SD-5960 DVD player to Toshiba. They informed me they usually exchange these for the SD-5970, but they were out of stock. Instead the "gentleman" (hopefully) told me that I was lucky and was getting an SD-4990 and not to let the model number fool me that it is a newer and better model.
Does anybody have any insight on which is better - the 4990 or 5970?
