Not the best but just built 2 new enclosures and got my new HU(not the best either but better than my factory 1) 1 box slotted tuned to 35hz for 1 12"cvr and the other slotted box tuned to 32hz for 1 12" cvr both with 2.20 cuft of airspace. Had 1 cvr dual 2 ohm and 1 PA dual 4 ohm both running each channel, cvr at 4 ohm load and PA at 2 ohm load, powered with 268 lanzar amp, cvr getting about 300 rms and PA getting about 450rms but PA only handles 300rms so couldnt put it to loud and put balance more on cvr. Lanzar 268 puts out about 923 rms bridged at 4ohms so i just ordered 2 12" dual 4ohmn cvr's to put both bridged and theyed be getting 900+rms. B4 i had the PA and cvr in different fu*ked up boxes. So now with 2 12" dual 4ohm cvr's bridged to get more power out of my amp with way better boxes with a new pioneer deck it should sound a hell of alot better right guyz?? Just need to wait for my cvr's to come in by about Thursday and then ill see but what do you guyz think? Decent for a 16 year old who doesnt have money?? Thanx guyz....

definately better than your old setup. you should never mix subs like that, especially 2 diff. brands in diff. ported boxes tuned diff.!

think that amp will be underpowering those subs though, i don't think it'll put out that power.

Thanx ctmike. I dont think it will matter though if i have the 2 12" cvrs in different enclosures tuned differently. Opti said 2 different 268's were benchtested and both did a little over 900 rms and i believe him cuz damn that amp could push my other subs and its fu*kin huge. Im wondering which cvr would sound better though the 1 in the 32hz box or the 1 in the 35hz box. What do you think??

Ctmike they r recomended to be i believe between 1.75 and 2.5 cuft so i did about in the middle. Dont know what im supposed to tune them to but someone said about 32hz and someone else said about 35hz so ill see which sounds better and make another just like it.

Anyone else think this will be a pretty good setup? For my town it definitly would cuz i live way out here where ppls favorite brand is sony.
Thanx.

okay heres what i would do. put one in each box. now hook one up at a time. find out which one you liek better. then make a single box with one port tuned to the tuning you liked best. they should be similar with the 32hz enclosure extending a little further on the low end. and the 35hz enclosure having slightly more output at around 38-40hz. as for the amp, just make sure your ears are sensitive. if you hear any distortion turn the gain down a little bit. gain knobs are very sensitive so just the slightest nudge of the gain knob could do the trick. overall should sound pretty well. i would prefer the 32hz tune. goodluck man!
