Bronze Member Username: Mythy225719Post Number: 25 Registered: Apr-06 | 6x9's sound like crap compared to a 6 1/2 due to cone shape... However 6x9's have more base.. What are you looking for? CDT has a woofer set... and comp. set for $100 and $200 |
Bronze Member Username: VincentianPost Number: 55 Registered: Apr-05 | i want base cause i listen to rap and i obviously want power... my rears in my car are 6x9 so im trying to stick wit that |
Bronze Member Username: VincentianPost Number: 56 Registered: Apr-05 | i just want a good upgrade for my stock speakers in my 89' chevy cavalier im not looking to go all crazy and spend abunch of money i just want some louder speakers than the stock ones from 1989 so i dont need rediculous percision and sound quality and all that i just need good cheap speakers.... with that in consideration what brand should i get or wut type my fronts r 3.5" and my rear size is 6x9 |
Bronze Member Username: Mythy225719Post Number: 26 Registered: Apr-06 | cant do much with 3.5's But the rears I'd put in some cheap infinitys and a cheap matching amp... you'll spend $200 ish total pluse a power and ground wire.. so say $240 |
Bronze Member Username: VincentianPost Number: 57 Registered: Apr-05 | ic thank you and the power and ground wire are for??? do i need to buy new speaker wire and stuff or can i just take out my old speakers and put in the new ones |
Bronze Member Username: Mythy225719Post Number: 31 Registered: Apr-06 | any decent pair of 6x9's will need to be amped. When I bought my infinity's I paid $60 shiped on ebay for the pair... another $100 for a infinity amp, you';ll need a amp to power them... THats where the power and ground wire comes in. You have to run the power wire fro myour battery to your trunk. |
