Hi guys..i have been having problems with my system..coolsa7 5000..i have narrowed it down to damaged lnb,s or power supply..i have a new dish 500 coming tomorrow and would like to test the power supply before i hook up the new dish in case it blows my new lnb..does anyone know a good reliable way or way's to do this?

Supply should have output specs (in volts and milliamps) listed on it. You will need to hook the supply up to a load (usually a resistor) and use a multimeter to verify the voltage and current output as listed. Also, check for ac ripple voltage - the ripple should be less than 10% of the output dc voltage. Sorry i don't have a simpler way, but this is how you test it properly.

Thank's Jason..i did come across a way that's a little easier...insert a paper clip in lnb input..use an analog meter..should be 13-18 volts..i was 14.1 so it's normal. thank's for your input on that.
