I owned two D max 12's and they are great SQ subs but I like a little more loudness, so I went with a single RE sx15, I am very happy with it. I am now going with some Treo 10" ssi x2 and a single Treo SSX for the looowwws. I am loading the REsx with 1490 rms and eventually when the Treo are loaded, the single sx will get around 5000wrms and the two 10's will get 1000 wrms each. Polo.. :-)

wow chauncy is an AA hater lol
id take the SSI, then tied for crystal and arsenal. then rl-p then idmax.

although i havent heard the ssi yet, i like its great power handling and excursion. i also like thew tsx and the ssi will sound better. btw, im giong to install that ssi 10 i bought in my brothers truck. its giong to replace his 12 L7. he thinks it sounds amazing and hes not sure if i can put anything in there that would sound better.... hahahahahaha

IDMAX is my bet but the RL-p would be close behind, probably in a slightly smaller vented box tuned to 28hz.

y is every1 rating the IDMAX so badly? is it because its old technology compared to those newer subs?

"I really hope that B and Chad dont get mad at me but I hear ssi's all the time and am not that impressed,"

its too late chauncey. i am pissed now. naw just messing with you man. we all have different preferences. i've used a few subs in the past like re se, alpine type r, type x, and even audiobahns and the ssi's kill it all around. i've even heard the jl w6 and the w7 and imho my treos sound better and louder than both of those subs. i've said this before, the owner of an authorized jl audio dealer uses treo ssi 10 in his car.

price is a prob, since i gotta get an 200amp alt, i cant only spend round 200 for a sub. the rl-p (240) is the most ill spend on a sub

no1 is really "rating" the idmax badly. its just not my personal choice of sub. i like somethign that can be a little more powerful. if i cuold have 5 idmax 12s off arc audio amps then hell yeah id love them! (i say that because ive seen 5 12s with arc audio amps installed in a car before in a magazine)

Initially i was going to go with a ID MAX 12 off my Arc Audio 15000-XXK / Im going to wait for the new ID MAX 10 and 12 versian 4's to come out. V.4 is going to be improved.

For now, im sure the TSX 10's will be a great SQL setup ported. Not sure of what freq i want to tune the box to yet. I was thinking 32-35hz

Yea...I was going to say the same thing. You can't buy an ID Max sub right now. They are closing out production of the version 3 and about to start production of the version 4 early this summer. Versions 4 will be available around June, from what I understand. If you can't wait till then, then go with another brand of subwoofer for sure.
