4ga should handle that power level 2ga or 0 -ga if you plan to add later.

for speaker wire, probably 8 gauge if you can manage it. 10 gauge would be fine as well though...

on the link above it says the difference would be in audible below 12 for my aplication. Or is there something im missing

Unless you're talking about 1000s of watts, 14 - 16 gauge is fine.
If you can tell the difference between 14 gauge and 10 gauge or lower, then you must be half dog and half human.
Don't get fooled into buying "monster" cables. They're all for shows. Somehow, FutureShop had a setup that demonstrates monster cable vs regular 14gauge speaker wire. The monster cable has more bass and sounds clearer. I know that is a lie, but the idiots shell out $200 for 8 gauge monster cables.

shut up 200$ for 8ga monster cable...or r u just exagerating......i went to radio shack and bought 8feet of 8ga monster cable for 9$

So you paid over $1 per foot, for 8 gauge wire.

You could have gotten well over 3x that amount online for wire just as good, if not better.

Okay so it was around $189. By the time you add 15% tax on it, it will be $200.
