I tried buying direct from Analog Devices but could not continue for lack of a VAT no. ! I require 3 of these op amps

I'm going to replace my 3 OPA2604 with AD826 duals (in my Shanling CD t-80) Is there a certain way(I know theres only two choices) they must go into the slots or one definate way and if so have you any idea which? Thanks!

(Please correct me if I am wrong here...) Okay when you look at the op-amp chip you normally see a semi-circular cut out in the body of the chip. See example image below: When you install the new AD826 chips, make sure that the semi-circular cut out stays in the same orientation as the existing OPA627 chip you are replacing and all should be fine. Here is a sample image of a AD826 installed in a Yamaha CD player, you will see that the Analogue Devices AD826 chip also has the little semi-circular cut out I mentioned. (The way the chip is oriented in this image the cut-out is on the RHS.) Apart from that there should not be a whole lot to it. You may want to follow anti-static procedures whilst handling the chips. Or worst case just touch something grounded like the kitchen sink, and don't wear those rubber soled shoes that always cause static shocks!! best of luck Rav
