This is a quick drawing. Not to scale. The speakers are the shapes filled in with black.
I'm moving into a townhouse next week, and I'm trying to compromise btwn my desire for good sound and my wife's desire not to have speakers all over the room.
A little background about the room: 8 foot ceilings. Tile floors. Don't know exact size, but it's not very large at all. Speakers are small Yamaha satellites and center and 8" Yamaha sub. TV = 51". Oh, there will be a rug and coffee table in front of sofe that I left out in picture.
The rear surround satellites will be bracketed to the ceiling. I figure they can be angled a little to adjust. The wife won't let me put them on walls or stands. She insists that they be up out of the way.
The front speakers are on stands level with screen. Center is placed right on top.
Any suggestions as far as placement of anything, or is this about as good as it can get for the layout of this house?
