New member Username: CocizziePost Number: 4 Registered: Mar-06 | i have an 86 monte carlo ss and the stock alt is only 70 amps. im planning on running two amps hifonics generatin xx hercules 2000 rms@1ohms and a hifonic xx olympus for the highs.my question is how big of an h.o alt will i need and will i need a second battery? |

Gold Member Username: TheelfkeeperStockbridge, GA USA Post Number: 1516 Registered: Feb-05 | well, not sure on your total wattage but watts/12.6V = amps of current draw. plus the 40-50 for the car. thats about the output from a Alt you'll need. but 4000 watts is a LOT. you'll prob have to look into a dual alt kit or something! |
