My homeboy has two fifthteen inch q power subs hooked to a 2200 watt boss amp and it pounds like hell. I found on the internet two fifthteen q powers for 200 plus 30 for shipping without box. Is this a good deal? If so what amp should i get for it?

Peak is WORTHLESS. Don't even look at peak. If something doesn't rate in RMS then don't buy it. Chauncey said it earlier. I guarantee you my Kicker 500 watt setup can beat your friends 2200 watt setup or whatever hands down.

^^^I agree with Chauncey and Chris.......Peak don't anything. You must always look at the RMS, and that system chauncey picked out would be way better than your friend's system. Those are great subs and they will get loud with that amp. So stop talking about peak because companies only use that to make their stuff look good. Only worry about the RMS because that's what your going to get.

does ur friend have the black q power subs? the duluxe series? i have 2 12" q power subs deluxe series subs. they are rated at 600 rms and 1200 max. they pound alright but the sound quality is nothing to my kicker comp vr's that i had recently.

Or he could by a pair of Assassins!!! I personally think they have better SQ (by far). Also, I bet that the SPLs would rival from what Jonathan has told me...

Yeah they the deluxe series. But about the audibahn amp. Its only 800 watts shouldnt i get more then that, because i wanna get the full watts out the kickers to beat the block up like a punchin bag.

will this system BEAT?
2 kicker 15 inch comp cvrs and a Kenwood KAC-9152D 1800 watt amp? This is what i really wanted. Do you all agree?

subs are good, but get a stronger amp. those subs will handle more than what the amp will put out. also, kenwood amps are ok, but they tend to overheat and shut off.

the subs are fine but dont buy the kenwood an please stop talking about Max power as if it really matters because RMS is the only thing that matters an with some names such as Legacy Pyramid an sound storm they even lie about the RMS power an thats only a few of the names that will lie about the RMS power,,, you should really listen to Chauncey

The kickers are a good Choice in subs for ur Budget an since you want more power get the Hifonics BX1205D amp to push the subs with but get the 4 ohms DVC version of those kicker Subs an not the 2 ohms DVC version an wire the subs together for 1 ohm mono an hook um up to the amp

that setup should be right within ur budget an it will put ur friends Junk to shame but i wouldnt advise getting any more powerful of an amp because anything more an u will definetly have to upgrade ur alternator an add a yellowtop Battery

be careful, wanting more power, u will have to upgrade ur electrical system to handle that much power

That is the reason i recomended the 800 amp and not something like 2500watts
