Bronze Member Username: Audiowizard69Post Number: 78 Registered: Nov-05 | is there any way of grounding an amp to something besides the negative post on a battery? i am asking because i am putting a car system in my house and i wanted to know. |
Bronze Member Username: Bachatero07Post Number: 48 Registered: Mar-06 | easy answer. dont do it. mainly because you wont find any permanent dc power strong enough for the amp. for instance, a 12v plug from your old cordless phone will NOT be strong anough for the amp. and if you plan on using a car battery, you will drain it pretty quickly. |

I did, and used it for nearly two years, but then i blew up my amp. lol. You can also power any other 12V stuff off of it. Here is a link to it on Radio Shack's website... http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103961&cp=&kw=power+suppl y&parentPage=search |
