You won't have all the spider/surround problems, and you'll have MUCH better sound quality, and still get your high numbers you're looking for! |

Gold Member Username: TdbdadrummerWellsburg, WV USA Post Number: 1427 Registered: Aug-05 | I'm 18, and I've been around here, as well as I have a dad who's extremely knowledgeable about audio and electronics and MUCH MUCH more. But sometimes, he tells me more than what I wish to know... Anyways, just stick around, you'll start getting the idea of how stuff works, just takes time. I think the CVX will be as good if not better than the powerplant. The CVX is a ROUND L7. Sure, it doesn't push as much of the claimed air...But if the excursion is increased to make up for lack of surface area, I don't see how it'd be a supposed problem... Of course, excursion is just one of the many things that lead to greater SPLs. Anyways, go with the CVX. It's in the same price range, and will be very loud. Also, you could look into the Ascendant Audio Assassin, or something from Digital Designs. RE Audio has 12" subwoofers that are very nice and loud with SQ as well. There's a lot more options out there other than Kicker. |

That's the idea behind most if not all CV products, be able to handle a lot of power, but still play loudly with good sound quality with LESS power. It's a neat concept. AA has adopted a similar concept with their new line, but they have better sound quality, and are louder yet. |
