Hi there. I just won a Polk Audio CS150 center channel speaker on Ebay. It arrived today, and I anxiously hooked it up to my stereo system. To my dissapointment I found that the left woofer wasn't working. I opened it up to find that the left woofer has no magnet, or hook-ups for wires. . or wires even! It doesn't even look like it ever had wires coming from the terminal. The right woofer is hooked up and working, as is the tweeter.
I did a quick search online and couldn't find much info since it's an older model.
My question to you guys is:
Did this model have a "dummy" woofer? Or did I get screwed?
Oh and as far as how they sound. . .so far so good. I've only had it for a couple hours, and was only able to test it with music. I just moved and I have horrible horrible noise in my A/C here. I have an audible hum in my system here. I am working on fixing that, then I can test out the speaker with a dvd.
