Tv antenna question

i heard if i get a tv antenna i can pick up certain local channels in HD. WHere can i pick up one of these and about how much are they. are there certain brands i should look at?? thanks a bunch

I like Winegard, but there is Channel Master and others. Even Radio Shack offers a decent VHF/UHF antenna. There's nothing special about it. It's the same old antenna that's been on roof tops for more than 50 years.

i have the panasonic pt-50lcx64. will any antenna work for any tv or do i have to find a specific one? also i see VHF/UHF and VHF/UHF/HD antennas. does having the HD one matter or will i be able to pick up HD channels with just a VHF/UHF one? thanks for the help

Don't pay more for one that says HD. It's a rip!

Go to www.antennaweb.org

Put in your zip code and see how far you are from your local digital stations. By an appropriate sized antenna for your distance from the towers.
