New member Username: BasiccablePost Number: 1 Registered: Feb-06 | Hi I have 1 12" Alpine type-R dual 2@hm sub in a ported box and I need a new amp as mine is dead. I've rounded it down to three amps and was hopeing to get some of your guys opinions on which one of these would be best Alpine MRP-M650 (400 Watts at 4ohm) Orion 600D (600 Watts at 1ohm) PHOENIX GOLD X600.1 (600 Watts at 1 or 4ohm) I've had good luck with all three brands in the past the only one I'm really worried about is the Orion because I would be running it at 1ohm and I'm worried about heat. What one of these would you guys get? |

New member Username: WafflesdosPost Number: 3 Registered: Feb-06 | hey guys, I hooked up a L5 solo baric with the coils in series to a rockford 700s and it was booming for a day until I got the burning smell fron the speaker. How can this be? the amp only pushes 350 watts @ 4ohms and the speaker should be able to handle 750 continuos and 1500 pmpo. I bridged tha amp, any sug? |

Bronze Member Username: ErgodynePost Number: 26 Registered: Feb-06 | you get a lot of versatility with that PG. So if you want to get some different woofers Ie a single 10W7 that has a 3 ohm load you could still run it at it's RMS with headroom, as where with the other amps you couldn't. |
