I had one of those plugs you know that will turn a regular speaker wire into an rca wire I think its for home use. Anyway I tried it on my car connected it to one of the back speakers and plugged it into the amp. Now my subwoofers sound way louder almost double as loud is there a downfall to this. and can anybody explain why this makes my amp output more power
Line Out Converter (LOC), the only downfall to thoes that i know of is lack of quality. they don't produce near as good a signal as a Pre Out on an aftermarket radio can
yes LOC aka line level converter. the unnoticeable lack of quality is worth keeping your stock stereo if you like. in my opinion also no work hiding wires and installing a new HU. you only have to run the power cable from the amp to the battery. you can tap the LOC off of the back speakers. yes i know having an aftermarket HU is a lot better but if you want to keep your stock stereo the LOC is the way to go.
