I am new to fta receivers, yesterday I flashed with a bin that would get bev but instead it killed the power to the receiver. I used jkey to jtag it but now the only thing it does when the switch is cut on is display 8.8.8.8 on the front display. Please help I have tried since yesterday with no luck. Also I tried wall and it cam up with an error that read "Warning the id code is incorrect". Is they're any hope for it.

Do I load it with the uploader through the serial cable or with jtag cable. I have tried uploader and it will not communicate. What is the best uploader to try? Thank You For Your Help

try BL uploader and load 267 bin or 270 bin of Pansat2500a and use *last* button of your remote for number 0 (zero).

Do NOT use either of those bins on a Ultra..U will kill it!....go read the 100 files posted on how to Jtag that Ultra correctly...then put the factory bin on it once U get the nite rider lights...then put either the 256T clone safe pansat 2500 bin...or the latest 282T Ultra bin..

dsscommunity has a file called "Nagra2 Black Death Repair kit.zip" that will fix it...I think its in the Fortec area of forums..look around or do a SEARCH there..

(Fortec Lifetime Ultra)
Full autoroll for DN & BEV manual keys

If you are using this file can you tell

I took an ohm meter to check the connections. I noticed that all the pins for the jtag connection on the board are all reading that they are connected to each other and with the groung pins. I checked all of the solder joints under the main board and on top nothing is touching. Could this be the sign of a fried chip or something more simple that someone else has ran across and knows a solution. Also the .8.8.8.8 display still show but no menus or anything on the screen and the power button on the front isn't working to power it down.

I have checked all connections with a meter for continuity, the cable looks good but I noticed that all the jtag pins on the motherboard are showing that they are hooked together with the jtag cable unhooked and I noticed they are tied in withthe ground pins also. I have checked the solder work under the board and they are not touching each other. Any suggestions on what to check now. Thanks for all the help. Also I was able to get jkeys to communicate one time the first night but after that nothing.

this site here Ecoustics will not let us type cetain other site names...so we must insert an asterik or space or something in the other site name and links...

COPY AND PASTE INTO YOUR BROWSER, THEN REMOVE THE * IN THE LINKS (C*OM)..

Here's the Ultra factory flash:

The 270 has autoroll...the keys will change by themselves automatically...and if U want to know how to manually input the keys,...then READ the thread/topic here " HOW TO INPUT KEYS" !!!!!!!!!

Then try another bin, like the 267...there are a ton of bins for the 2500!...and READ the "sports package" topic/thread here..

BTW...try blind scans ,sat scans, TP scans..etc..epecially right before the game starts..
