I have a Mini DV JVC GR-D260EK and I installed the disc they sent me and have all of my cables attached, but unlike my old cam it picks up the stills but when I try to use, say windows movie maker and other capture software its telling me it does not detect my cam,
why won't it work? even if i download a driver for it? besides, I am on a laptop, so installing a firewire card isn't as "easy" for me as you claim for a desktop tower.
actually, i just did some research and can use my expansion slot, so it's even easier, but this means i have to spend more money on a different cable and the expansion card? there is absolutely no way the cable i am currently using will work?
