Thursday, January 12, 2006 - 04:16 GMT Get a CMPX2, since nobody has them, I would say there about the same as the XXX and the Brahma, and u did say the loudest, the ti would not get as loud as the other 3.

Thursday, January 12, 2006 - 05:06 GMT The ava is louder then the brahma I have tested both subs under the same optimal conditions. The REXXX tends to surpass the two, and I have never heard a cmpx2 I would love to though

Thursday, January 12, 2006 - 05:28 GMT Digital Designs. Not cheap, but they sound good in the right boxes and are loud as hell.

Thursday, January 12, 2006 - 06:38 GMT so digital desighns is the loudest of the loudest. So your saying you cant get any louder with two 12's than digital desighns? Is it the loudest of all time?

Thursday, January 12, 2006 - 07:16 GMT "so digital desighns is the loudest of the loudest. So your saying you cant get any louder with two 12's than digital desighns? Is it the loudest of all time?" There is intense competition in SPL, so saying it's the absolute loudest out of all is not necessarily true. They are extremely successful in competition, I'll just say that. The 9500 or 9900 series will sound pretty good in a well designed ported box.

Thursday, January 12, 2006 - 19:33 GMT the loudest of all time is actually Pioneer. But any pair of GOOD 12's should be able to do or get close to 150dB with plenty of power and the right enclosure.

Friday, January 13, 2006 - 03:20 GMT "the loudest of all time is actually Pioneer." now we're getting more into spl and not necessarily sql (which is an entire different bag of far less practical beans). in the case of pioneer, there were actually 13 subs fired by 52 amps in scott owen's record breaking truck. hardly any sq to be considered. so i guess it depends on the nature/intent of the question. that is, sql for everyday use or spl for competition's sake (and absolutely nothing else). clearly i'm biased
