What I am looking for is input on what would be my best choice, knowing that the shape and size of my room is not ideal. I use my setup for DVD, Xbox and watching basic cable TV. I do not care to listen to any radio or CD's. Current Equipment: - Denon 2802 Receiver (supports 6.1 with single rear speaker) - 2 x Infinity Interlude 60 (uses 12" 500W subs)- FL/FR - Infinity Interlude 36C - Center - 2 x Infinity OWS-1 - SL/SR The URL below is a schematic I put together which shows the shape of my room, what I currently have and my ideas for changing it. I need to buy a rear speaker and mainly need to know: 1. Would I be best with a monopolor, dipolor or tripolor rear knowing the shape of my room and that I am getting only 1 speaker? 2. Would the moving of my SL/SR speakers help as I raise them and move them further from listeners? I feel I am too close to get a good surround effect. 3. Suggestion for what rear speaker to get under $250 based on the type determined in question 1? http://www.evolution-8.com/setup.gif Sorry for the long message and I appreciate any suggestions. |
